Re: Vizio Smart TVs

Sorry I haven't been able to test much, had to finish up a project for work and my wife has actually been using the TV. TVs should only be used for testing media servers, not for watching, but she does not agree. Reports are the crappy e series won't ever show up in device spy and doesn't give much ...

Re: Vizio Smart TVs

Ranger if you believe the E series and M series to be that different then post some logs. I was posting mine as added info. I believe that the problems are the same, since you and I see the same negative buffers when large files are transcoded. ------------------ @exsport thanks for looking at this....

Re: Vizio Smart TVs

I will let you and ranger sort this out but I figure extra debug logs won't kill anyone. dbg is using the one you posted. It correctly changed the extension to be seen on the tv as .mpg instead of .mp4 and said "serving 1" in UMS (1 is what i renamed the mp4) and then stopped and did nothi...

Re: Vizio Smart TVs

I can't get it to see the vizio (or the samsung) on my network, and I tried adding the ip and port directly (in device spy) but it wouldn't see it. I'm not sure how to get it to see things properly (it only sees the media servers and my router). The vizio and the samsung both see media servers prope...

Re: Vizio Smart TVs

Like i said in the previous post.. it looks like only the M series TVs are DLNA... not the E- Series. There might be your problem. The E-series is now... it may have gotten some firmware update that fixed it for certain models in the past year (for instance CNET refers to one E model as having it a...

Re: Vizio Smart TVs

Thank you for looking at it DeFlanko (and nice finds Ranger), I did try the conf but it was a no-go, and my TVs don't show on my network (though the samsung works fine with DLNA so that doesn't seem to matter) so I couldn't spy the vizio. I even tried to add the ip/port directly but it wouldn't. I'm...

Vizio Smart TV

Other topic was locked without explanation but it was a necro so whatever. Called Vizio and they said it was a limitation, that it couldn't stream mp4 files longer than 22 minutes or so (and other files have serious issues as well, it just can't process the large size or something). I'm thinking oth...

Re: Vizio Smart TVs

There is literally not a single character difference between that and the default VizioSmartTV.conf already in universal media server. No offense, of course, you couldn't have known, just FYI.

Re: Vizio Smart TVs

My buffer also goes way negative, the same exact value as in your screenshot. I've tried all sorts of options to stop this from happening. If this error were to be solved we'd be all set. Same issue here in this thread: http://www.universalmediaserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1157&p=691...
