The standalone Windows x86 version is bundled with the x64 version of Java. When I try to run it with the x86 Java Runtime, it simply does not start.

It also only includes ffmpeg64.exe.
Thanks for reporting this. I am currently working on a fix

Re: After updating Win10, UMS stops working

Yes if the program is still visible on the computer but just not showing up on the TV, and a OS restore fixes it, it is likely a firewall configuration issue. You could try removing the firewall entries for javaw.exe and then it should re-prompt you. Make sure you give it full permissions like publi...

Re: Can't Uninstall UMS??

Yes, true, as I've accidentally "uninstalled" UMS while it was running when attempting to test a new version. But I've always been able to restore a functioning install (and uninstallable UMS) by doing exactly as you've described. I guess the uninstaller could be improved by warning the user if UMS...

Re: CPU load issue after Windows startup

I doubt your Java test-program analyses the content of the files and creates thumbnails if appropriate. It's not just about "listing" the files. You are right, it isn't ... and there is no need for it. Since all folders had been scanned when they were added to the media library in the first place, ...

Re: Version 8.2.0 released

Hi johnsim, thanks for letting us know about the issues. I have fixed that broken string for the next release. Can you please give me more details about the prettifying bug? I have tried to reproduce but I can't.

Re: Version 8.1.0 released

Two issues with this version: 1 The standalone player runs a Java install once the main UMS install is finished. Defeats the purpose of "Use a standalone version if you do not want to have Java installed" 2 UMS 8.1.0 still adds the "Engine Names" to the front of a file name like 8.0.1. This messes ...
