Re: 64 bit warnings now with Mojave

The macOS binaries we include are at http://universalmediaserver.com/svn/binaries/osx/
Most of them are probably 32-bit

Edit: One time I looked at these binaries (years ago now) there were still a lot of 32-bit Apple users so it wasn't feasible to update them. Now it might be different

Re: 64 bit warnings now with Mojave

Thanks for letting us know about this, jecroft. Nadahar is right. If you are getting warnings about that despite using a 64-bit version of Java then it's a bug in Mojave, unless it is detecting 32-bit dependencies we are relying on

Re: Version 7.1.0 released

I tried V7.1.0 (Linux headless) and UMS won't start. It gets java heap space errors and crashes before starting completely. EDIT: I deleted the data and database folders and restarted and now UMS starts OK. What about UMS v4 and v5? It would be useful to know when the bug started for you. It would ...

Re: Version 7.1.0 released

In that case maybe you are experiencing a different problem. I know from your PMs that it was happening for you in v6.8 but can you try older releases to try to see when it started? Maybe try v4 and v5? Knowing when the problem started is very useful for debugging this kind of hard-to-find problem

The problem was created in UMS v5 so you can use v4 if you want until we have done mo...

Re: Version 7.1.0 released

Can you advise if there have been any changes to try and resolve the "Java Heap Space" memory issue. Thanks In a way there have been because now the Windows installer should set a bigger heap space by default. So the problem is still there but it will take longer to appear now for most Windows user...

Re: Problem with unwanted transcoding

There are a lot of transcoding options in that renderer config so it is weird transcoding doesn't work.
Could you try to force detection of the TV as another renderer and see if any other configs work for transcoding? It might give us some idea of what needs to change
