How to address Virtual Folders with SMB network share???
UMS used to use the VirtualFolders.conf file to detail folders to add collectively to a media folder. I believe this was migrated to SHARED.conf, but it no longer honors the SMB shares. There is no way to address a share through the UI either. Additionally, you cannot map a network drive and have it...

Choppy/studder streaming to PS3, but not to VisioSmartTV
:-) I've been troubleshooting the performance of UMS in my house for a while to no avail. It seems that the behavior is more specific to my PS3 and does not exhibit when the renderer is VizioSmartTV (for another device in the house). Both devices are on the same Gigabit Ethernet network but the comm...

Re: DVD ISO results "1 duplicate frame(s)!" w/trace :-)
I have tried using DVD ISO image of a TV program so the video was actually 29.970 fps and the behavior is eliminated. It seems it only happens for theatrical movies where the fps is 24000/1001 and is consistent numerous previous versions of the ? MEncoder? or to me honest, I don't know if it is actu...

Re: DVD ISO results "1 duplicate frame(s)!" w/trace :-)
Not sure how to troubleshoot the issue, but in the debut data there is a section where it starts interpreting the MPEG2 source as 29.970 fps and then switches to 24000/1001 fps... Also " Muxer frame buffer cannot allocate memory! ".... Is this typical of a working configuration? DEBUG 01:4...

DVD ISO results "1 duplicate frame(s)!" w/trace :-)
I just tried the most recent version UMS-5.0.0-a1-Java7+.exe The result after installing it on a different machine, plenty of fast CPU, 16 GB mem, killer video card, etc... The same skipping is observed when playing every DVD ISO file I have. I've tried lots of different configurations in the past a...

Help solving behavior "1 duplicate frame(s)!" DVD ISO-update
I have installed several versions of UMS from 3.x to the current 4.2 From a complete fresh install to numerous efforts tweaking the configuration, I am not able to stop mencoder from inserting multiple duplicate frames every second. It really makes it difficult on the eyes to watch an ISO DVD to hav...

Need help troubleshooting - DVD ISO won't play
I have an intermittent problem with playing DVD ISO files on a CPU that is on the same physical network as another machine (older) that does not have problems playing the same ISO files. I do not no how to troubleshoot by looking into the debug.log file because I have little experience in what the o...

Re: Have a hell of a time getting Panasonic DMP-BD75 bluRay
I'd also like to point out that the reference to "User-Agent: IPI/1.0 UPnP/1.0 DLNADOC/1.50" is documented repeatedly in the debug.log file, but when I change the renderer from "Panasonic TV" to unknown renderer, and support all the renderers, it will resolve to "Visio Smart...

Have a hell of a time getting Panasonic DMP-BD75 bluRay conf
:-) Hello, I'm new to the forum and to UMS. I'm trying to get a Panasonic DMP-BD75 BluRay to work with the media server, but it is intermittent. I can occasionally start playing a DVD/ISO title, but it will quickly stop streaming and there is sometimes a brief message on the TV display "cannot ...
