Re: conf file borked in new version?

Sorry bout that, I get 'no movies in server' error, although I can't remember the exact words right now. And to check, since my NAS drive has dlna, I can see that the movies are there on *that* dlna, but I can't play them since the NAS has no capacity for transcoding.

conf file borked in new version?

So, I get it that I might be the only person using UMS *and* an outdated samsung e-ht3500, but it's been working ever since you all fixed the conf for it. yes someday I'll get a *real* smart tv or a ps4 or something that seems more appropriate for the times :) but today I had to roll back from the n...

Re: HTTP 500 Internal Server error playing to Samsung 40C8000

I'm having a similar issue with my samsung E-HT 3500, I'm suspecting it's related to the recent java update. {edit} Just tried rolling back java and it didn't fix it. UMS is now not showing on *any* devices here, so maybe my issue is not similar to yours. {edit 2 hours later} after trying the beta a...

Re: Samsung HT-E3500

I will test all you want if it gets my thingie working properly. It's really nice now that I can watch stuff with subs, and stuff with alternate audio tracks, neither serviio or plex can do that. I will make the kids watch japanese stuff all week and let you know how it works.

Re: Samsung HT-E3500

First file I played with the new version - loud low-frequency hum when I played it. Video seemed ok. I played it with ffmpeg transcoding, no hum. I had noticed the hum on certain files previously.

Re: Samsung HT-E3500

And finally, I made some pretty random changes to the conf and got my movie with the subs to work, but only with mencoder, although ffmpeg had good video and garbled audio. After the movie, I discovered that some other files worked and some didn't, with and without different transcoding. Kids are no...

Re: Samsung HT-E3500

Fooled around some more - added some lines from the allshare conf, regarding mimetypes, extensions, subtitle header, supported subtitle formats. I bet the 'streamextensions' line made it so I can play stuff, but still no joy with transcoding. I dunno if this will help you, but the kids are taking a ...

Re: Samsung HT-E3500

Debug log here with my little change to your conf file. Seems like it recognized it, but everything returned 'not supported file format.' Oh and I liked the new icon.
