Re: Is there a way to ONLY transcode Hi10p and h265 files?
It isn't part of default UMS yet, but I've made a pull request for it . I've gotten no response from the others though, so I guess time will show. But you're wrong about mediainfo. MediaInfo = true tells UMS to use mediainfo to get information about a file's format and codecs, and is a requirement ...

Make sure your renderer is properly detected, and then edit the .conf file and make sure "MediaInfo = true" and do not define those media types in the "Supported" lines (see http://www.universalmediaserver.com/faq/#RendererSupport1) Ah yes, the thing is, my Nexus 7 2013 can play...

Pretty much what the title says.
Transcode: 10-bit and h265.
Stream/remux: Everything else.

Re: Android config files for the BubbleUPnP Media Renderer
Thanks for the update dude! It's disappointing that transcoding doesn't work properly with MX player. I have a lot of 10-bit files that I cannot play well on my Nexus 7 without transcoding. CDB-Man says that the dev will is fixing the transcoding issues but he's taking his time. EDIT: This is is...s...

Re: What is a good reliable client for UPnP/DLNA for Windows
https://mpc-hc.org/ (better in every way to VLC). By the way, why are you using UMS to watch stuff on a PC? Why not just use windows inbuilt sharing and play it straight off the hard-drive? I only use UMS when I want to watch stuff off my PC on my PS3/Nexus 7. When I want to watch stuff off my PC on...

Re: Nexus 7 (flo)/BubbleUPnP/MX Player Config Updates.
Yo guys. Just wanted to give you a heads up that the network buffering issues are definitely an MX Player problem and they are a known issue. The dev/s have said that multiple bugs surrounding network streaming will be fixed in the net major update (1.8), when that is though, I don't know. Btw ler0y...

Re: Nexus 7 (flo)/BubbleUPnP/MX Player Config Updates.
Hahaha, okay. Now that I have unchecked "Encoded audio passthrough for AC-3 and DTS" some things are starting to make sense. Before, BubbleUPnP was showing that Madoka was an MPEG file when in fact it is an MKV file. I am assuming that is because UMS is set to transcode it to MPEG (because...

Re: Nexus 7 (flo)/BubbleUPnP/MX Player Config Updates.
The debug gives: File "[Meguca]_Puella_Magi_Madoka_Magica_-_01_[BD][h264-1080p_FLAC][462E256B].mkv" will not be streamed because the audio will use the encoded audio passthrough feature Uncheck the "Encoded audio passthrough for AC-3 and DTS" setting (and save) so that the video...
