Re: Jumpy and testing with Firefox

How would you load this on a Mac?

I looked at the plugin support for Mac and I don't think it works like that on OSX10.11 The Library/Application Support/PMS folder seems different.

Thanx

UMS Plugin That Allows Working Browser?

I'd like to be able to use my browser while using UMS. I do a lot of reading and being able to read PDF files on my TV on my comfortable recliner would be really great. I'd be able to use my BT keyboard and scroll though the pages.

Thanx, Nick

Re: How Can I Use Plex W/UMS?

It does have DLNA. Don't know if it's alright to post the url to the info. https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=SMPN100 Plex has this setting. DLNA client preferences Client-specific configuration settings for the DLNA server. It has an area to write some info in it, but I haven't got a ...

How Can I Use Plex W/UMS?

I have an old Sony Network Medial player that I mostly use to stream music to my good preamp. It's doesnt have a Plex app on it, so I'd like to find away to use Plex though UMS. Is that possible and how would I configure my Mac to make it work?

Router Powerline Router

I'm running a powerline internet though my homes electrical lines to my network media player. I don't have a problem getting internet to my STB, but I don't know how to configure my STB to get to access my computer to play files. Basically, I'm running internet from one router through a second route...

Re: Hi End Audio?

I've ripped to FLAC, several albums and am very happy with the results. Some sound really great and others a bit rough, so I think I'd like to suggest adding an audio equalizer to UMS, if that's possible?

Re: Hi End Audio?

In AVS Forum I asked what is the best lossless compression and this is the answer I received. AVS is an excellent place for audio and home video info. Many vendors there. Lossless formats all sound exactly the same. I recommend FLAC, but sonically there is no difference. The exact lossless format mo...

Re: Hi End Audio?

After some quick testing and not using my best interconnects I'm very impressed. Obviously it wasn't as good as my best CD player, but it's a whole lot better then I expected and beats any CD player I've heard for under a couple of grand and better then my brothers Oppo 95. My good CD player is an o...

Re: Hi End Audio?

I have Jennifer Warnes Famous Blue Raincoat album. I'm decoding it FLAC and I'll see how it sounds on my system. I like to use that as one of my test CDs, because it's recorded excellent and has some great high and lows. It would be interesting if we could use some of the hi end software and UMS cou...
