Re: PS4 now support DLNA!

I tried 5.2.1 tonight and it's catastrophic : videos not transcoded sto pplaying after few seconds and the PS4 says "unreadable media". Transcoded videos have very long a/v sync issues (many seconds)... Back to pre-5.2.0 alpha version... I forgot to upgrade to the newest version from the ...

Plex didn't have that working when I tested it - both it and now UMS show the length and can fast forward/reverse only for streamed files, not anything that gets transcoded.

Re: PS4 now support DLNA!

This is exciting! I'll make it in about 9 hours after work :) In the meantime if you get a chance creighton can you please check if the same thing works for files that need the video to be transcoded, like the H.265 ones in the test suite, or any video with subtitles? Wasn't sure what you meant by ...

Re: PS4 now support DLNA!

Good idea, here's a build that tries that Well, I think ExSport is onto something good with that idea. The newest test build didn't seem to make a difference, but then I thought to change my testing method. Here's the files I used and the results: - [flv1.flv] [H264/AAC] - transcode worked with FFm...

Re: PS4 now support DLNA!

Thanks for the logs :) I'm very confused now since it seems to me that we are doing the exact same thing in both cases, but the PS4 only likes one. I've made a new build with extra logging to try to uncover what the difference is. Can you please try both files the same way with this version? http:/...

Re: PS4 now support DLNA!

Thanks for the extensive testing! I'm very interested in the flv1 file now, because it played successfully with transcoding. Can you please try muxing it to a MKV container and playing that via the FFmpeg option in the #-TRANSCODE-# folder? I can run you through how to do it if you want, or I can d...

Re: PS4 now support DLNA!

New version to test I'm sure this will take some time to comb through. 87d037531-my_files flv1 - played outright! Manual FFmpeg worked as well. transcode1 - did not play outright, nor with manual FFmpeg webm - played audio outright, but no video. the PS4 showed a loading symbol while audio played, ...

Re: PS4 now support DLNA!

Thanks a lot for these logs. Could you please try again with FFmpeg set as the top engine? MEncoder was at the top in your config and that muddies the results. Hmm that's strange, not sure how that happened. Oops! Here we go again (it's the same results though). 544112b: flv1.flv - streamed fine wi...

Re: PS4 now support DLNA!

Here are two updated builds to test if you can, it's really appreciated, as are logs :) 544112b: flv1.flv - streamed fine with FFmpeg (trying outright did the tsmuxer crash) transcode1.mkv - failed with manual attempt using FFmpeg transcode (trying outright also failed) 544112b.zip ce9daae: flv1.fl...

Re: PS4 now support DLNA!

Thanks for the logs guys, unfortunately this means that my idea on how to fix transcoding to PS4 was incorrect, so I will have to have another idea (or someone else will). I'll have a think and try again :) Not sure if any of this is useful, but someone did some testing with PMS and found that dump...
