LG TV does not see UMS

Hello, this topic is already discussed very often in this forum. As a solution disabling the Windows firewall was allways suggested. This also works in my case, but i think it is not usefull to run a Windows PC with a disabled firewall. Can anybody tell me why only LG TV's in conjuction with UMS hav...

Cannot show pictures with Kodi

Hello, I cannot show pictures (jpg-files) with Kodi. The thumbnails are shown, but clicking on the picture file the screen is black. For testing reasons UMS and Kodi are running on the same PC. But the target will be a PC with UMS and an Android box with Kodi where I detected the failure at the firs...

Re: Jumpy and testing with Firefox

Hello infidel, meanwhile I am able to show my pictures in the PSE structure on my TV :-) But the full tree generated with pms.addCmd will be shown and executed only in the video xmb branch. In the xmb picture branch I get the message: "No pictures" at the last leaf. Here is an example of o...

Re: Jumpy and testing with Firefox

Thank's for the additional update of jumpstart.
jumpstart is really a good help to understand the funtions (API) of jumpy.

Now I'm going to start generating a jumpy script out of a PSE database by use of tcl.

Once again thank you very much for your assistance.

Re: Jumpy and testing with Firefox

Hi infidel, it is realy a great pleasure to read your constructive answers :-) So jumpstart is now almost running as expected, with one exception. Selected items will be executed only once. You can select them but the associated command will only be executed at the first time. But again, I do not kn...

Re: Jumpy and testing with Firefox

Thank you infidel for your fast reply. Using Kodi is a good hint. I just made some tries and it looks good, better than Firefox. You also mentioned jumpstart which I have also tried in the past, but with small success. By the way, the script jumpstart.bat should reference py4j0.9.jar instead of py4j...

Jumpy and testing with Firefox

Hello, I want to use Firefox for testing Phyton-scripts in Jumpy. I tried to test and understand the hello.py script together with Firefox. But the icons for: Test Env Var, Date, and netstat are shaded gray and a bubble says NOT PLAYABLE IN BROWSER. Then I click on the button 'Play on another render...

Re: Jumpy and Photoshop Elements

Thank you for your reply infidel. I do not expect that there is an existing plugin solving my problem. I would like to write a Python script for Jumpy because the description for Jumpy says you can: "add folders and media items to the xmb" This gives me the impression that I could add fold...

Jumpy and Photoshop Elements

Hi, I would like to watch my photos on TV in a way I have sorted them with Photoshop Elements in groups and marked with tags. This all is stored in a sqlite database which structure I have already investigated. So I got the impression that Jumpy could solve my problem. But unfortunately I do not ful...

Support of Photoshop Elements

Hi,
it would be nice when UMS could support the sqlite-database of "Adobe Photoshop Elements".
Then it would be possible to view photos which are marked with tags and also grouped by events like "vacation 2014".
