Thanks prime.
Anyway, this is a headless server so I don't know how to setup UMS without the GUI.
Any good instructions on how to configure it by hand? Or maybe configure using a web page?
Thanks

Re: UMS detects wrong renderer
Hi Prime.
Thanks for the answer.
Well, i removed the popcorn.conf from the renderers folder, I restarted UMS and now my player is picked up as being Realtek.
Is this the right configuration to use?
Cheers

Re: User manual
Thanks ExSport. So, this means that there is no documentation. There is something but it is so outdated that can't be properly called documentation. You see, before using an application I usually read on it, study it, ask questions about it on forums and IRC channels so that when I configure it I kn...

Re: User manual
Hi SubJunk. Thanks for the tips. I will post a trace log but first I need to understand how the subtitles work. For instance, if I have an MKV next to an SRT file both with the same name (diff extension) and if I press the play button on my device for that MKV should I immediately see subs on it? Ar...

User manual
Is there a user manual for UMS?
I feel kind of lost with all it's settings.
Besides I am not being able to serve subtitles to my renderer.
All help very welcome.
Cheers

Re: UMS detects wrong renderer
Hi Optimus_prime. Thanks for your reply. I have already posted a link to a trace file on my dropbox on my earlier post. Apparently I didn't make it clear enough. So, here is the link to a trace file of my Asus HDP-R1 running AMP r9 with iconBIT skin: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/14343707/UMS/ums_dbg_amp...

Subtitles - do I need to transcode?
When using my Asus O!play with other DLNA servers I found out that it doesn't support external subtitle files. That is, apparently the guys that coded the box (Realtek) didn't instruct it to go find an SRT/SSA file in the same place where I have the MP4/MKV files. Lame... Can UMS deal with this? If ...
