Re: Audio is lagging when streaming to PS3

UPDATE: I played another file last night that was particularly bad and noticed that both it and the other one I mentioned above were both MP4 format. So, MKV files have a slight lag but MP4s are much worse, it would seem. I saw in another thread that it might have something to do with codecs? I inst...

Re: Audio is lagging when streaming to PS3

I didn't change my name in the forum. I don't know why you'd think this. And I'm sorry for not saying "hello" but I did try to be polite with my request, did I not? I didn't realize I needed to name the video file as well. My apologies for that mistake. It was the "Gennady Golovkin vs...

I don't know how I forgot to do that. I put it as an attachment but it didn't stick. Here it is (again). Thanks.

Audio is lagging when streaming to PS3

So, as the title suggests, when I stream some files to the PS3, the audio lags at differing rates. I haven't been able to determine if any types of files are worse than others, but the debug file attached is for a video where the audio was the worst it's been, almost a full second out of sync with t...

Can UMS stream a browser window?

Noob question, I assume, but this just occurred to me. There are times I want to watch a stream on my computer but would prefer to see it on my TV for comfort. Can UMS only see files off the computer's HD or is it possible to "cast" my browser through UMS?

Yep, that was it. The Firewall was automatically set to both Private and Public. I disabled the Public setting and it picks up the PS3 fine now.

Thank you!

Just another "can't connect to PS3" question...

Hello, I put UMS on my computer recently and it was pretty much plug n play after installation. No issues. A few days ago I overhauled my puter and reinstalled Win10, then all my programs afterward, UMS included. Now, it doesn't detect my PS3 and I'm not tech savvy enough to figure out why. Can anyo...

Re: Noob help with PS3 and UMS

Hi Oz, I appreciate your reply. However, I can't really rip apart the house right now to wire it all up. From what I'm reading, powerline adapters may be my best bet. Does anyone here have any advice about those? I've read in a number of places not to have them on a surge protected powerbar, which i...
