I just erased my Mac & clean installed High Sierra 10.13.4 today.
Ive been downloading & installing apps all afternoon.
UMS was one of the last ones but 7.0.1 wont open, I just get a simple error dialogue "Unable to load Java runtime"

Initial tests seems it is related to UMS.
After a few reboots today without UMS, I dont have this icon appearing anymore.

Hi Nadahar, No it doesnt go away if I quit UMS. If i quit JavaAppLauncher then it starts "not responding" & will not quit. After a reboot it seems to be gone at first, but will return after a short while. I dont know how to identify the process ID for this to kill it. I tried ps aux &a...

Computer slow to transcode high bit rates
Hi there, I am having issues playing some home made video on the PS3 - its rendered at 1080p 12mbps H264 (mp4) The PS3 will play regular movies, dvd rips etc over wi-fi & UMS fine. but when it comes to my own videos it plays exceptionally slow (2 or 3 fps) & the audio sounds like "ba-ch...
