Re: Can't play 4k files on new TV

Can you let me know which file you tried to play? A partial filename will do. I can't see any play attempts in the logs so it seems the TV isn't even trying. We just released 9.8.0 with some bugfixes that might help, so please test with that, and if I know the filename I can at least know more

Re: cant play 2160p 4k video

It looks like what happened here is that there was a .txt file with the same name as the video in the same folder, so UMS sent that to FFmpeg as subtitles, and then FFmpeg died because the file was not subtitles. Also we have since fixed bugs to do with subtitles so hopefully that workaround of putt...

Re: Problem with UMS 9.2.0

Can you please let us know if this is still happening in the latest version? We have fixed a lot of bugs lately including ones caused by 9.2.0. If it is still happening I'll work with you to resolve it. Since this thread is a bit old now (sorry!) I'll mark it as solved but will reopen it if you resp...

Re: ffmpeg output file does not contain any stream

Nice investigation. A possible workaround is to rename the files to .oga which is the more modern (since Xiph made it in 2008) extension to use for audio files

Re: Why can't m2ts (h264/dts) content be streamed rather than transcoded to PS3?

That works nearly perfectly. Audio is still being transcoded for several formats, but that may be necessary for PS3. The only glitch I encountered was when I first tried to seek to a location in one.m2ts, it never started playing, but then when I returned to one.m2ts and skipped to 20 minutes in, i...
