Re: Sony Bravia - Issues & Problems: 2.2.0 vs 2.4.2

Ah cool. And the last 2.6.2 version is the standard version right? Without the BraviaEX.conf modification?

Re: Playback Impossible: Transcoded MKV!

Thanks for testing, there's another version in between those (2.5.0), can you please test that too? It will make it easier for me to narrow down what caused it http://code.google.com/p/universal-media-server/downloads/detail?name=UMS-2.5.0.exe

Edit: Also, please follow these instructions when ...

Re: No sound on some files in new version

Hmm yeah I think MPlayer added some stuff to support newer CPUs that caused problems for older CPUs. Can you please post your debug.log after playing a file with the version of MEncoder that works? Thanks!

Re: Sony Bravia - Issues & Problems: 2.2.0 vs 2.4.2

Can you please re-test "Serenus 2" and 2.6.2 with the anime file please? This time I need the "trace" information, so can you please select "Trace" from the "Log level" dropdown on the Logs tab before playing the file? Hopefully this will tell me what to change. Thanks!

Re: Subtitles or Fast Forward, not both

More info: When you watch subtitles, we use transcoding which means the video is re-encoded so it has the subtitles overlaid, and that is stored in a RAM buffer of 200mb by default. So if that buffer is full you should be able to fast-forward through 200mb worth of video before getting a glitch ...

Re: 2012 Samsung TV disable subtitles

Yeah the conf I posted tells UMS to remux/transcode those files which then lets us use our subtitle preferences. A side-effect of that is that fast-forwarding and rewinding is less stable because of buffering.

Yes, please use the latest official release to test.
About identifying the OPPO, if you talk with them again let them know the 83 includes "BDP-83" in its user-agent string which lets us identify that, but the 93 and 103 don't. Their user-agent strings have "OPPO PLAYER" in them.

Re: Playback Impossible: Transcoded MKV!

Can you please try older versions and let me know which was the last to play the files, and post debug info from that version?
