Just to clarify, with the resume avi file I mentioned, the file starts playing at the time I stopped (say @ 15:00), but the time bar starts at the beginning of the file, so jumping back doesn't work as the PS3 thinks I'm at the start of the file.
In the log, the first file is the mp4 that fails ...

Re: Version 3.0.0 Alpha 1 is released
Been trying out a1 and a2.
When using FFmpeg with .srt subtitles, the subtitles are white and do not respect the color I've chosen in UMS, which MEncoder does.
Also, I can't get FFmpeg and .ass subtitles to work. No combination of settings in the FFmpeg page will get it to display .ass subs which ...

Re: Resume Function
You can delete the "resume" file in the UMS folder in the Program data file. It's in a folder in the data folder, IIRC.

Re: time skip makes movies go desync.
If your buffer runs out, your video will freeze, not desync. I have a few files where UMS cannot keep sync not matter what settings I try. In those cases, like you, I will slowly lose sync over many minutes. It has nothing to do with time skipping. If a file plays correctly when I don't jump around ...

Edit: I just tried the square button ...

Re: time skip makes movies go desync.
I use subtitles all the time, and I'm able to jump around a show or movie without problems. I usually use the "Goto" feature as it's safest, but I will sometimes use the "Skip Back 15 sec" feature if I can't read a subtitle fast enough. There seems to be another weird subtitle bug where the subtitle ...
