Re: Stream TV Capture Card?
Try http://umediaserver.net/ for live capture and stream serving. I don't know if that stream can be plugged later into UMS for DLNA serving but worth digging into it.

Re: Forcing UMS to use TsMuxer always
Just to have the link handy in a related topic in case main remux gets replaced via ffmpeg in the future instead of tsMuxer: http://www.shortword.net/blog/2009/12/1 ... th-ffmpeg/

Re: Multiple video files on same folder icons
Hi Wolfgan, AFAIK it's not possible to customise the image that folders use. Otherwise we would customise them for sure! Thx Subjunk, but I don't think I follow your reply. Isn't the folder and file covers decided by the dlna mapfile piece? (ie line 150 of https://github.com/UniversalMediaServer/Un...

Re: Upcoming features
Sounds like a bunch of excellent features. Now that you mention TV shows and virtual folders organization, would it be possible to implement something related to the folder/file icons for even better list displays? (my suggestion at http://www.universalmediaserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6...

Re: Version 2.6.0 is released
I have some issues with all mkv movies that were playing OK with previous versions. tsMuxer is stopping with errors that didn't exist before on renderers that accept almost any file w/o transcoding (WDTV or Kalemsoft). INFO 2013-03-31 22:43:02.221 [New I/O worker #1] Starting transcode/remux of Skyf...

Re: roll back to 2.42 not working great, and any newer versi
Any newer version skips the videos (.mkvs, anime). I tried updating to the newest one (big mistake, videos skipped, avc not playing now (and now, but i'll get to that.) I rolled back to 2.4.2, you'd think, no problem right? well the transcode maximum buffer's max is 997, instead of 837 (thank god r...

Re: Best way to render 1080p MKV files on my PS3?
I'm using a low powered server (http://www.universalmediaserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=624#p4116) so no video transcoding is the key. Use tsMuxer as your preferred engine, I'm watching 720p and 1080p videos w/o any stutter. Caveat: no video transcoding means no subtitles... I hope it help...
