Re: Copy video to PS4

This must be some feature the PS3 has, UMS will simply deliver the file/stream on request, it's entirely up to the renderer if it chooses to play or store it.

Re: Is there a way to ONLY transcode Hi10p and h265 files?

Hi10p can be used in h264, that's the problem. We can detect it via MediaInfo, the problem is how to work it into the existing system. I don't think Hi10p_Support = Yes/No isn't a good way, it need to be part of the "supported" line syntax, and we'd need to be able to negate as well since ...

Re: 5.5.0 not saving changes and re-running configuration wizard

UNS keeps the configuration in memory and save it when you quit. The configuration is saved at slightly different locations depending on platform. Under Windows the default location is "%programdata%\UMS", on Linux is it "~/.config/UMS" (user dependent). You can override this loc...

Re: Update UMS linux version

We don't really use the linux package ourselves, so it's unlikely that we'll se disadvantages with it. If you have suggestions for a smarter way to pack it, we could consider it.

It seems to have been a build error of 5.5.0 for OS X. We apologize, please use 5.4.0 until the next release is out.

Re: Audio choppy

It's still very hard to understand how UMS can be to blame if the sound is fine on the TV speakers but not on your receiver. Sounds very strange to me.

Re: VOB audio problems (sometimes)

That's strange, 24001/1001 is wrong for PAL. Are you sure those are needed for PAL?

Re: Audio choppy

I have no idea what the issue is, and yes: You can break a fiber optic cable. They should never be bent sharply. That said, I don't know if a broken cable would produce such results. I'd think that a broken cable wouldn't produce anything at all, but I guess anything is possible.
