Confirmed, latest version corrected the issue I was noticing in Vimu on Android; no longer replacing filename with Series Title from metadata.
Original poster still needs to post his logs, as his issue wasn't from metadeta (e.g.: [MEncoder] (Audio: English) (Subtitle: English)

Re: UMS is "renaming" the files on the TV
I upgraded to 5.01 and confirmed the same issue (episode number and names being removed). I Downgraded to 4.4 hand no longer experienced the issue. Seems to be occurring with MP4 and not AVI files. Problem starts when accessing a folder through an android client. If cache is enabled, IOS will follow...

Re: UMS is "renaming" the files on the TV
Trace logs. Cache disabled. Browsing folder Broke Girls using Vimu player on Amazon Fire TV Stick. UMS-5.0.0-Java7.
I was previously running UMS-4.0.0-a1 and UMS-4.3.1-Java7 and did not experience this issue. My 5.0 install was clean, all new config files.

Re: UMS is "renaming" the files on the TV
I had the same problem since updating to 5.0. It is not Prettify filenames as I had the option unchecked. It was only happening to folders I didn't browse before the upgrade. i.e. I accessed New Girl before the upgrade, so after the upgrade the episode numbers were still displayed. The folder for Al...

Creation of a video pack for consistent testing of renderers
When ever I edit a renderer config or test a new device, I use the files I have available. MP4s some H264, and some xvid. But nothing with accompanied subtitles, no MKVs, etc. The iPhone.conf (which is now Apple-iDevice.conf evidently) I modified StreamExtensions, which worked for the formats and ap...

Re: Amazon Fire TV
Here's my notes for the Amazon Fire TV Stick. Tested with Vimu as DLNA client, Vimu as an Airplay device, AirPlay/DLNA Receiver (Pro) as Airplay device, and Airbuddy as an Airplay device. Except for a problem using Vimu as an Airplay device, no changes to the render config was needed for my MP4 test...

Re: Amazon Fire TV
And somehow related question, did anyone get any Fire TV Stick and tested it? (no explicit mention anywhere about DLNA support) Thx, Wolf I have the Fire TV Stick. No native DLNA support. I'm still in the process of testing it, but I installed Vimu Player last night and was able to connect to UMS (...

Re: modified render
You need to submit them on github and issue a pull request. Eventually, they'll be evaluated and than either accepted or rejected.
