Re: Version 3.0.0 Alpha 1 is released

Been trying out a1 and a2. When using FFmpeg with .srt subtitles, the subtitles are white and do not respect the color I've chosen in UMS, which MEncoder does. Also, I can't get FFmpeg and .ass subtitles to work. No combination of settings in the FFmpeg page will get it to display .ass subs which wo...

Re: Resume Function

Been trying out a2. When trying to resume an .mp4 file that's streamed to my PS3, I get a data cannot be played error. I am able to resume a transcoded .avi file with subtitles, but it says the files is 24:00 long (ok) but the time starts at the start of the file instead of the actual time I stopped...

Re: Resume Function

You can delete the "resume" file in the UMS folder in the Program data file. It's in a folder in the data folder, IIRC. SH, How long does the file stay? Until you resume it and watch to the end? Here's my issue. I do like the idea of the resume function. But I have a ton of TV shows, and s...

Re: time skip makes movies go desync.

If your buffer runs out, your video will freeze, not desync. I have a few files where UMS cannot keep sync not matter what settings I try. In those cases, like you, I will slowly lose sync over many minutes. It has nothing to do with time skipping. If a file plays correctly when I don't jump around,...

Re: time skip makes movies go desync.

No, I have a PS3 remote, and I usually hit the triangle button, then chose the second option on the first row. This allows me to chose the exact time I want to jump to. This has worked for me with no desync issues. I can try your way later an see what happens. Edit: I just tried the square button, a...

Re: time skip makes movies go desync.

I use subtitles all the time, and I'm able to jump around a show or movie without problems. I usually use the "Goto" feature as it's safest, but I will sometimes use the "Skip Back 15 sec" feature if I can't read a subtitle fast enough. There seems to be another weird subtitle bu...

Re: Upcoming features

I tried the prettify names feature in OP's 2.7.0 beta build. I realize that you may not be done with all the features in this...but will it be an all or nothing feature? I noticed that in the beta I can turn it off, but will we be able to turn parts off? By that I mean that I don't need to see the r...
