I'd be happy to test any test versions. Bring it!

Re: Version 4.0.0-b1 is released

One minor, but irritating bug remains in that if "Remux with tsMuxeR if possible" is checked, FFmpeg will ignore subtitles completely. You need to uncheck it for subs to work, but then you'll transcode when you don't have to. I had posted debug logs before in the 4.0.0-a1 Issues thread in ...

Thanks for the new test release!

If you have ps_ping set and you do not check "Use Automatic Bandwidth", does UMS no longer ping the device for an estimated speed?

Re: Subtiltes size

Those only affect .srt subtitles. .ass subtitles and embedded subtitles are controlled internally, so to speak. You can manually edit an .ass file to change the size, color, etc. I do that all the time.

Re: Version 3.6.4 is released

Thanks for the new release! I would like to mention a long time minor subtitle issue with Mencoder which I have found does not happen with FFmpeg. I've mainly noticed this with .srt subtitles. With Mencoder, subtitles will display only for 5-6 seconds even if the .srt file states it should be longer...

Re: 3.6.3 and tsMuxeR

Oh, BTW, the debug log above also includes an instance of FFmpeg/UMS muxing a file when there are subtitles with "Mux with tsMuxeR" checked.

The first time an Alice file is played in the log, "Mux with tsMuxer" is checked and the file is muxed over with no subtitles.

Re: 3.6.3 and FFmpeg Subtitles

Thanks again for your explanation. Mencoder does not change the color of the "Default" style in .ass subtitles from what I can tell. I have "Fontconfig" checked in the Mencoder page; does it not use it for external .ass subs? Aegisub has white as the default color for the "D...

Re: 3.6.3 and FFmpeg Subtitles

Thanks for your explanation on the issues. Admittedly, FFmpeg changing the color isn't a huge issue as the color I select is a color I want for .srt subtitles, for example. I'm mainly comparing what FFmpeg is doing to what my PC and Mencoder is doing. Mencoder can display .ass subs correctly, but no...

3.6.3 and FFmpeg Subtitles

So, if FFmpeg is the default engine, and all three FFmpeg options are checked, then FFmpeg will ignore subtitles and mux the video over, even though it shouldn't as it's a native .mp4 file. I have to uncheck "Mux with tsMuxeR" to get external subs to work. WIth the .ass subs for Alice no T...
