Re: Mencoder vs. ffmpeg

The main difference in our implementation of both engines as of UMS 2.3.0 is that FFmpeg doesn't do subtitles. We are working on adding that. Question(s): Why doesn't FFmpeg support subtitles in UMS? Is it because of FFmpeg itself or something that needs to be changed in the code of UMS? Or perhaps...

Re: Did SharkHunter disappear?

Yeah, I saw he's posted in the channels topic again. Hopefully he'll have more time to work on his channels plugin again soon and update it. :)

Re: Channels Plugin

I've been taking a real cool course which (combined with other stuff) taken up a lot of my time. I'll be back shortly with some insights... Oh, what classes have you been taking? Am I correct on my assumption regarding the channel files and them needing to be updated? Looking forward to having you ...

Re: Jumpy Plugin (17 Jan 2013)

If you narrow the issue down to anything generally relevant (maybe youtube-related?) let me know. Well, looks like your hunch was right. I was checking out the forums and people were complaining about it not working right, so I messed with some of the fixes people mentioned and things were still br...

Re: Jumpy Plugin (17 Jan 2013)

Yeah I'm using that addon and the latest XBMC for Windows 64. It's still version 12 RC3. as far as Aljazeera goes I still don't get the problem you're having, especially in regard to jumpy which just interacts with the python scripts and couldn't care less what particular build of xbmc is being use...

Re: Jumpy Plugin (17 Jan 2013)

You're right (of course :)) your version is better. Your rtmpdump.groovy derives from the 'master' branch whereas mine is from 'release' (which is the default version that comes with the jar btw). The difference is that yours ignores the -o | --flv arg (which is telling rtmpdump to output to a diff...

Re: Jumpy Plugin (17 Jan 2013)

Yeah, I was using that one for quite awhile (the one from his master branch) until you fixed twitch.tv/justin.tv with the one you wrote. Then I just decided to combine the code and it worked well that way. I can pretty much play any rtmp link with that .groovy file now thanks to you both. I decided ...

Re: Jumpy Plugin (17 Jan 2013)

Are you using the latest rtmpdump-jtv.groovy? Hi kurou. rtmpdump-jtv.groovy is only necessary for twitch/justin.tv (which use an unusual/rare link syntax). For everything else under the sun it's no different than pmsencoder's built-in rtmpdump.groovy . Did you try the new one I posted (the combo of...

Re: Jumpy Plugin (17 Jan 2013)

Hi, I have problem with live on PS3. Could you look at this ?!? Please. I'm trying with XBMC AlJazeera(Watch Live) add-on and it work in XBMC well.
