Re: Xbox One Getting DLNA Support

Good news!
I tried forcing the PS3 profile, and transcodes work! It's transcoding more than it has to (like all MKVs), but it seems there's nothing I can't play.

:) almost there.

Re: Xbox One Getting DLNA Support

Awesome! MKV is playing, but not ones with DTS. I tried disabling "Keep DTS tracks", but it still fails to launch. I'll attach a log of me trying a DTS MKV (fails) and a AC3 MKV (works). This fix fixed that Windows Explorer thing too. :P According to internet sources (and they can't be wro...

Re: Xbox One Getting DLNA Support

Also, I'm gonna bring this up again so that you may be able to replicate the root issue yourselves.

Windows Explorer on a networked machine does the same glitch if you navigate to UMS. It may be related to the Xbox's glitch.

Re: Xbox One Getting DLNA Support

Seperate issue with UMS 5: 9 times out of 10, the XB1 reports "No devices found". It takes a number of attempts to get it to see UMS.
UMS 4 doesn't not have this issue.

Edit: I installed UMS 5 build aaaf6f7 today, and it seems to see the Xbox consistently.

Re: Xbox One Getting DLNA Support

Okay, sorry. Trace should be better now.

I turned off WMP. When I tried to load the XB1, UMS listed it as the 360. I turned off the 360 profile too, and then it correctly identified the XB1.

Attached is a trace log with WMP and XB360 off. It's still doing the root thing though :(

No luck with 4.1.3-ce0da05.
Like mentioned in the Git tracker, I've attached a log.

Re: Xbox One Getting DLNA Support

Yeah, PlayTo from the phone is just a PITA. Especially since everyone will have proper DLNA pull soon. Since the forums were messing up the last few days I responded on the Git tracker with some logs. Unlike other versions of UMS that just show the root directory on the XB1, UMS 5 doesn't show up on...
