Re: Maximum bandwidth setting seems to be ignored
Never trust the bitrate what PS3 shows. Check it in PMS. When PS3 is under-buffered with data it can show misleading values like 250Mbit etc. which is impossible on WIFI or 100Mbit network.

Re: Subtitles with Ffmpeg
Never tested it but you can use MEncoder in a way as FFMPEG works, with special o= parameter so default MEncoder settings can be overridden by FFMPEG params? http://bugzilla.mplayerhq.hu/show_bug.cgi?id=2046 Don't know if the hint in link can help but it is worth trying it. Maybe electing some ffmpe...

Re: Performance with 64bit
There is no 64bit support of UMS or PMS. Only mandatory is version of JAVA you are using. When you will use 64bit JAVA, you can grant more memory for PMS/UMS. E.g. using 2-3 renderers on 32bit system with 400MB buffer size leads to crash sometimes because also with 16GB of RAM in 32bit system, JAVA ...

I agree it is a must . Only wanted to say that it is also mentioned in PMS FAQ somewhere. Unfortunatelly it doesn't work in all cases

Re: Supported Formats Tool
People are using it almost from the beginning of PMS, also mentioned in forum and on other places many times...and also mentioned (by me) that it can't detect all renderers...like my Panasonic TV

Re: Copying Videos to PS3?
Yes. If renderer support it, you can go to TRANSCODE folder and choose alternative without any engine like MEncoder/FFMpeg etc. It means in most cases [No Encoding] option. If file is H264 (MKV/MP4 etc.) which your renderer doesn't support, you can try to remux them to .ts/.m2ts files with tsMuxeR e...

Re: MovieInfo
Hi guys 8-) Glad to see you again...found little time so I had time to register. About MovieInfo, try to disable IMDB engine and use CSFD only. If it will work, problem is parser for IMDB...maybe site changed again so IMDB code started to make exceptions  Hopefully will have time this weekend ...
