Do you mean the latest version (UMS 1.0.1) is working fine without PMSEncoder, or the test version I gave?
Also, are you using the latest PMSEncoder, version 1.6? Older versions can cause bugs like this.

Thanks for the info, Optimus_prime. It's an old and well-known issue, but all you do to fix it is make sure the program isn't running when you install the new version. Also if you use the automatic update it shouldn't happen :) I will look into making the program close when the installer is run thou...

I just tested it and virtual folders (symlinks) work with the current release for me. I used syntax like:
mklink /D D:\folder C:\folder
