You didn't tell us what is your renderer. Generally to put folder.jpg or folder.png should work if your renderer supports external folders image. You can try to add to your renderer conf file the and test it.

What about do not force IP address of the UMS server, leave it empty and let UMS to choose it? This is the default configuration. Using wildcard in the IP address is not possible.
