UMS.exe is just a launcher. After launch, you'll see a java instance (javaw.exe) running in your system.

No changes whatsoever to the original file, transcoding/remuxing occurs on the fly.

Are you all sharing the same network? If yes, you may try to control UMS via https://github.com/UniversalMediaServer ... d-Security , but that should be the less of your worries (they may also have the ability to pry into your machine files as well... and viceversa)

FOA thanks for this release! I cannot believe that Prevent windows sleep still doesn't work properly. It suppose to prevent windows from sleeping WHILE streaming. Try to follow the FAQ http://www.universalmediaserver.com/faq ... erSupport1 and see if you can create the profile by yourself. Also pointing to online manual where your device's media support is listed also helps a lot.
