Try to find an online guide for your TV and look for supported media formats. Most media servers (UMS, Serviio,you name it...) are based on the same standards: DLNA. Make sure your renderer is properly detected, and then edit the .conf file and make sure "MediaInfo = true" and do not define those media types in the "Supported" lines (see http://www.universalmediaserver.com/faq ... erSupport1)

It will depend more on what your new TV capabilities are... if it accepts soft subtitles streamed as a separate track then UMS will be able to stream it (as is the case of your current Samsung TV).

If you post a link to the supported formats of the new TV we may be able to confirm it.
