I just tested and it works for me with 2 AC-3 audio tracks, can you give me more info on the file you're having problems with?

It's a good suggestion You might want to shorten it to the first 7 characters of the hash though (UMS-Windows-Beta-2-3-12.8d24aff.exe)

Just to make sure; in the test, it failed the first time and succeeded the second time, right?

Can you please make another debug.log, this time using version 2.4.2 and do the following: Try to play it normally (the way that fails), then play it via the transcode folder with the srt option. Also please wait a few seconds between clicks on the TV since that should make the log timeline clearer....

The subtitle style settings are only used for MEncoder (which is why they are in the MEncoder section of the Transcoding Settings tab instead of the Common section), whereas FFmpeg is playing them using its own defaults. In the future we will add those settings to FFmpeg too.
