The one that comes with UMS is SB52-UMS, which is a build I made for UMS.
Can you try putting SB52-UMS back to try to reproduce the problem? It's strange that that would fix it

It is a common problem with no one fix because it can be caused by so many different things.
Since it happens for you with a wired connection too, it's probably not a connection problem. So the next thing I'd try is to check the buffer in the UMS Status tab while playing - is it full when it stutters?

Thanks for reporting this, elpetak. I've confirmed it and it's a similar problem that we had with FFmpeg a while ago. I'll have to look into what the fix is for MEncoder and compile a new version with the fix.

That does seem strange. H264TSAC3 is largely untested. Maybe I'll set it as my default format and try to reproduce the issue

Thanks for reporting this, Casper. The FFmpeg Web Video engine was not paying attention to the quality settings, although the FFmpeg Video engine was. The fix should be in the next release.

Cool, thanks for the feedback :) I'm not sure how to transition from MEncoder to FFmpeg if we do, it's possible that we may release a new beta branch later on for that purpose. It works for internal subs too BTW. But yes, it seems less stable than MEncoder in general.

Yeah there's no advantage with the default settings.
