Re: Need help when using multiple routers on same network
Chain the 2nd router to avoid segmenting the network. Don't use the WAN port of the Xiaomi router, use the LAN port and disable DHCP on this one (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id- ... -wifi.html).

Re: UMSBuilderV2: build any UMS branch
Question: the packing of the installer (.exe) file seems to take a lot of time and resources. Is there any way to just end the process on generating UMS.jar? This has always been one of my pet peeves with building PMS/UMS, that there's no 'jar' target in pom.xml , tho obviously it hasn't bothered m...

Question: the packing of the installer (.exe) file seems to take a lot of time and resources. Is there any way to just end the process on generating UMS.jar? (ie skipping the MAKENSIS stage for quick features testing on some other branches) I notice there's a compile option but the final .jar is not...

Re: Hide many folders
When you navigate via the folder structure (not via ## Cache ##) folders are scanned on the fly, but that's not possible with the media library (cache) as it's organization doesn't mirror the folder structure and we'd have to scan all over the place all the time. There is more that could be done, l...

Re: Hide many folders
Also, I put my DVD drive in the shared folders in UMS so I can play burned shows. Will the cache store what was on Disc 1, for example, in the cache DB? I assume it does. Then will it update if I put in a new disc, Disc 2? Can I exclude drives from the cache? I'm intrigued by how UMS manage not alw...

Re: Can I stream a rtsp with UMS?
If PMS could do it, UMS probably can. The file is probably web.conf, but I don't know how to configure that file. Correct, I did some light testing with web.conf and it works (but I preferred http streams anyways). You may test it with VLC, and add a line to web.conf like: videostream.Web,IPTVr8083...

Re: [FFmpeg Web Video] videostream unnecesary transcoding?
What puzzles me now is that the live stream stops around 5 seconds after the start in all the renderers I tested. I tried it myself and I don't know whether this is the critical difference in your case, but on linux it wouldn't work until I streamed from vlc using a fake extension, per (possibly ou...

Re: Android version?
To be honest, i don't think any mobile CPU/GPU is powerful enough for transcoding (most of the video work on those devices are implemented in GPU or special media sections of the SoC), so low level access is required for performance oriented apps like transcoding. UMS relies basically on mencoder a...
