[ADDED] Selecting renderer config files at install
Problem statement: It seems that some renderers send exactly the same identification string to UMS. This means that UMS will match this string with the very first renderer configuration it will find and this is not necessarily the right one. For an example also see my thread in the Renderers section...

Re: Renderer detection solution
Ok, Optimus your answer is clear so that leaves us with my second question of my opening post or rather my suggestion to move not required config files out of the way during installation.
Do I have to open a new topic for that in the 'Feature Suggestions' section?

Re: Renderer detection solution
Hi Optimus, I'm not sure if you get more info out of the debug.log. At the point where UMS is reading the renderer config files, the log level is still DEBUG and I can't set it to TRACE on startup. If I restart the server it is not reading the renderer config files again. Quiting and starting UMS ag...

Re: Renderer detection solution
This must be a very common chipset as my Naim Uniti (and from another thread, a Denon receiver) seem to be returning the same headers. What's more, while originally my Unit2 was matched to the Streamium, that configuration did not work. I wrote a specific config tor the device too (it's here on ano...

Re: Renderer detection solution
This is the interesting part of the debug.log on log level TRACE with the USER-AGENT string showing as: KnOS/3.2 bridgeCo-DMP/3.0 DLNADOC/1.50 INTEL_NMPR/2.0 ... TRACE 2013-05-01 23:12:05.443 [New I/O server boss #36] Creating new pipeline TRACE 2013-05-01 23:12:05.443 [New I/O worker #28] Opened re...

Renderer detection solution
I am looking for an advice or solution to the renderer detection. I own a Yamaha RX-V773 receiver, used for audio streaming. I have created a .conf file for it and it streams perfectly. However at installation time I have to manualy install the .conf file, because the receiver seems to be detected u...

Re: Problem with estimated network speed
Have you checked your network speed and network adapter settings? Sometimes Windows updates or network adapter driver updates are causing problems if your adapter is set to auto-negotiation. Normally you can also choose to use a fixed speed. So as an example, if your adapter is capable and supposed ...

Re: Bad Stuttering
Hi zephyrot, Since your problem is another story I suggest that you post your issue in a new topic, so that we can focus to get yours resolved as well. But for a quick reaction: At least I would also start checking if your network adapter is working at the correct speed as you would expect, so the s...

Re: Bad Stuttering
Glad you found out how to fix it. :) Back to those network screendumps; my comments on that were because it does not tell that much. Measuring speed with 200 Mb file will give other results than sending over 2000 files of 10.000k and it also does matter what kind of protocol is used to transfer the ...

Re: Bad Stuttering
I tried the settings you suggested subjunk, no difference (saved and did a reset, actually restarted the pc..) I presume you or someone has checked the log i posted with my initial post? Though to be honest, a quad core 4gigs of ram, cat5 cable when most people use Wifi and only trying to stream 72...
