I agree, but I don't think the developers share the concern. V10 is all about new features for the "media library" anyway, so I don't think anybody that don't use it would "miss anything" by going back to V9. This happens in software development all the time, especially these day...

@mik_s The "generic" thumbnails shown in the screenshot above are made by UMS.

UMS still makes (at least it used to) the "played overlay" on top of the "generic thumbnails", so I don't quite see how that could be a cause.
