Re: AAC Re-encode Question
Thanks, SubJunk.
And thanks for UMS! It's now a rare file that doesn't play for me. I've banished the transcode folder.

I transcode a lot of .mp4s with AAC audio due to subtitles. I was wondering if re-encoding a lossy AAC track into AC-3 results in more loss of information (more lossy, I guess)?
Thanks.

Re: Missing subtitles since v 2.x [2.2.4]

Re: Missing subtitles since v 2.x [2.2.4]
I must admit that I've been fortunate and that I'd never had external subtitles not load (after adjusting the settings in UMS). I do get the occasional fast disappearing subtitles though. But this I mean if there is a complicated line that should stay on the screen for 10 seconds (I'll look at the ....

Re: Missing subtitles since v 2.x [2.2.4]
One thing I noticed as well is that, the default settings has *,* in the audio/subtitle priority which breaks the patch to prefer extenal subtitles to internal. I got the patch to work after blanking out *,* and leaving the audio/subtitle priority field blank.

Re: MEncoder: Unsupported PixelFormat
I think this is fixed in 2.2.2 with SB47. 2.2.1 gave me tons of those errors repeated in the log, but SB47 gives one mention per file transcoded without the repeated spam on the 5 or so files I've tired.
