Re: Setting-up UMS for iTunes
Hey, The song which your renderer starts to play,is this a song further on in line. With my Yamaha receiver for instance , when a song can't be played he skips to the first in line which he can play. He can skip about 7 to 8 songs in about 2 seconds so it might be worth checking your logs if this ha...

Re: Setting-up UMS for iTunes
Hey there, First a question for you: Are the files you are trying to play aac files , if yes then check the renderer file for your tv and see what the decoding file says in what the aac files are transcoded to. I found out for the PS3 the aac files are transcoded to altrac and this will give the sta...

Re: Sleep problems on OS X
Yep this is a familiar situation.
I can connect to my Mac through an remote server app and as soon as the connection is started the files start playing as when I don't connect to my Mac, I will constantly receive a server time out message.
I hope someone can find a solution on this.

Re: Sleep problems on OS X
Hey all, Has there been any kind of a solution on this issue for mac users. I'm experiencing the same problem as posted by you as well , so UMS will first play a file as I wake up my Mac through an other application or remote server. The strange thing is on PMS 1.90.1 ,which I have sometimes running...

Re: Java Issues with OS X 10.9/10.8/10.7
Billfish, I'm sure when you search this forum for 'JavaHeapSpace' problem , you can find a quite simple fix. I had the same problem in the past , but the 'fix' provided is doing great.(nonetheless you have to 'fix' after every next update, but it's pretty easy to do. I'm running UMS on my Mac with ne...

Hey Subjunk, Tremendous improvement on the browsing continniously playing of flac files on PS3 from my Mac in this version. (It took up to about 30 seconds in the past before playing the next song and now it runs smoothely :D ) This proves that even if something is great already , it can always get ...

Re: Port for DLNA
All,
This is why Mac users love using a Mac.
Using a Mac , you only have to open port 5001 as is written in the FAQ for TCP and UDP and your done.
No further actions are needed and you can enjoy your files

Re: UMS WILL NOT START
Both, Did you try to copy the icon from the newly downloaded version or are you using the icon from a previous install. First try to start up UMS directly from the application folder or through launchpad. Sometimes the 'older' dock icon is not properly linked to the correct folder/file. Next option ...
