Re: Philips 2013 - 42pfl4508 - SSA Subtitle Problem
If I am right your tv doesn't support streaming external subtitles and Serviio also is hardcoding them. So the option SupportedSubtitlesFormats = ASS is not working for you and must be deleted. Also when you use MediaInfo = false the following Supported = options are not taken into consideration. If...

Re: up scale video without transcoding?
You have to have ticked at least one LG renderer if your TV is LG branch otherwise UMS keeps it as unknown renderer and only simply streams all media. If your TV supports the media format you can play them but the else not (transcoding is not working). Also seeking in that case may not work. To help...

Re: Samsung UE48H6670 subtitle problem
I have no idea what Samsung changed but it seems to me that option SubtitleHttpHeader=CaptionInfo.sec is used in different way than before. UMS is offering subtiles to renderer by CaptionInfo.sec: http://192.168.0.121:5001/get/0$1$6$1$3/subtitle0000.srt The response is not to ask for that file but T...

Re: Samsung UE48H6670 subtitle problem
Sorry you don't understand the instruction. You have to set debug to TRACE and try to play the MKV video with external subtitles which does'nt work for you and then send the debug.log. Otherwise there is no information in the log we can analyse.

Re: "Force external subs" option?
You are trying to play MKV video with embedded subtitles and with external subtitles too. UMS is correctly sending CaptionInfo.sec with external subs so you have to choose on your TV to show caption to show the external subs. Your TV supports MKV video with embedded subs and shows it automatically s...
