Re: Guide for Transcoding Settings?

Thanks for testing. I think the reason that condition was added was for SRT subtitles, since FFmpeg was taking a long time to load them even though it eventually worked. I wonder if that's fixed I believe it's fixed as it didn't seem to take any longer to load the embedded .srt subs compared to ext...

Thanks, SJ. It's fixed now for ass subs!

You may want to add subrip to that commit as I have one, rare file with embedded subrip type subtitles, and UMS still wants to use MEncoder when FFmpeg will play them.

Re: Help me with Transport Stream

If you tried "No Transcode" without success, it means that your renderer does not like that file for some reason. For example, my PS4 plays mkv, but some mkv have a video/audio combination it does not accept. So, just because it's a .ts file doesn't mean it will work. I have some .ts files but they ...

Hey, SJ, I just tried the nightly at this new commit, and it still uses MEncoder for anime with custom fonts if the "Defer" option is checked.

Re: Guide for Transcoding Settings?

That's great news, Madoka. Can you please double check that? For a while it has supported playing the subtitles if there was a custom font, but it played it with a default font instead of the custom one. If you can confirm it uses the custom one now, I'll change that condition in the code I believe...

Re: Guide for Transcoding Settings?

Ah I see why MEncoder is being used - because there are custom fonts in the video and FFmpeg doesn't support them. I'll have a think about the best way to resolve this I think the newer FFmpegs may actually support custom embedded fonts, as I've been using it for all my anime lately. It also plays ...

Re: PS4 Media Player 2.0 Update

This is great. Can you please help us update the PS4 profile? There is the UMS Video Testing Suite at https://sourceforge.net/projects/unimediaserver/files/Official%20Releases/Windows/VideoTestingSuite-1.0.7z/download which has quite a few different formats to test, if you can let us know which fil...
