Re: Amazon Fire TV
Rename the android.conf file to android.conf.bak Now start up UMS it should then recognise your Amazon fire conf file. The problem you have is because the user agent string for a generic android device is the same as what the UPNP/DLNA software on your fire broadcasts.

Re: Version 4.0.0 is released
@subjunk : UMS should focus on java 8 only ! everyone can upgrade, as it is free ! ditch 6 & 7 ! Evolution baby ;) Evolution my ass... Java 8 and it derivatives is not compatible with Windows XP, older OSX versions and will not work properly with Linux versions with an older kernal. It also has...

Re: Audio Language Priority
I believe there may be a slight bug. I have discovered a very similar issue as i mentioned here.... http://www.universalmediaserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1965#p11065 a few days ago. Even with language set correctly in my transcode folder in earlier versions i would see the relevant count...

Re: Ongoing Sony Aspect Ratio Issues
Well thanks for looking into it further Valib, maybe this command and the FFmpeg one you came up with could be added to the bravia conf files that require it in future releases. Given how many posts there are about Sony aspect issues it may go some way to help people. Appreciate the time you and sub...

Re: BUG: Audio language priority
Hmm upon further investigation this only seems to affect some files and online streams such as rtmp:// TV channels. MP4 files with multi-tracks (AS long as a language is set and they are not either blank or set by number) work fine. MPG and AVI are hit and miss and Online streams suffer the worse.

BUG: Audio language priority
Under Common Transcode settings, Audio settings, Audio language priority Those options do not work when using FFmpeg as the Video engine, only works if Mencoder is set as the Video engine. Example to replicate the issue have a video file where the secondary sound track is English and the Primary is ...

Re: Ongoing Sony Aspect Ratio Issues
Right have tried the above and as suspected 2.35:1 and similar content gets stretched to 16:9 full screen (everyone looks skinny) and 4:3 and similar gets stretched horizontally (the everything looks fat effect). Have also noticed something from the Keepaspect log i uploaded the expand command is se...

Re: Ongoing Sony Aspect Ratio Issues
Ill try all that next valib, but pretty sure i have tried that before in earlier versions and what happens in earlier versions is if you change the resolution on the Mencoder settings tab to say 1280x720 is that everything ends up scaled to 16:9. Example if you have a 2.35:1 aspect movie everything ...

Re: Version 3.6.3 is released
^^^^ Did you really need to post that long quote? Would it not had been more sensible to point out there is an issue and upload the full log in a forum section that allows attachments? Regardless to me it looks like you have a java issue, if i had to guess i bet this is MAC/OSX related, if it is try...
