Possible MediaInfo Bug vs Bad File?

I realize this is not a UMS bug, but I'd thought I'd mention it anyways. I apologise if I am out of line. The following file results in a 2101 DLNA error and a hard crash of UMS 2.6.0 (the icon will disappear from the task bar) if you browse into the folder containing it. I did a test and isolated t...

MEncoder h264 Encoding Support

Sorry for the newb question.

Will SB52/UMS 2.6.0 use h264 encoding automatically on renderers that support it, or do I have to edit the conf file or do something else? Nothing seems to have changed in that respect on the PS3 with subtitles...maybe the PS3 does not support this feature?

Thanks.

Is this my 2.5.2 works for while while it doesn't for others, or is it a completely different reason altogether?

Re: Startup error still present in 2.5.2.1

Ok, that's interesting. As I also have 8 GB of RAM, am on Win7 64-bit, but I only have 64-bit Java installed. 2.5.2 starts and works ok for me, but UMS reports: 03-19 12:56:00 Memory: 1137 MB with the default 1280 MB at installation. In fact, UMS has always reported a little less memory than the def...

Question on New Estimated Network Speed

Not a problem really, just a curiosity. I'm on a 100 Mbit/s wired network. When I was running 2.5.1, I'd get a ping of ~11 ms and an estimated speed of 85 or 93 Mb/s. With 2.5.2, I get a ping of 12 ms and an estimated speed of 42 Mb/s. That seems like a drastic difference for 1 ms. I've had files us...

Re: Sony Bravia - Issues & Problems: 2.2.0 vs 2.4.2

SubJunk, Loving the new beta. One small cosmetic issue. When not playing anything, the "Common Transcode Settings" tab is sized correctly. When play something so that the status bar, says "Serving XXX.mp4", I get a vertical scroll bar on that page like it didn't account for the h...

Re: "Force external subs" option?

I'm streaming to a PS3, but I haven't had any issues with external subs, even those files with imbeded subtitles. 2.4 and 2.5 work as I expect with external subs being prioritized.

Well, I just looked through the whole conf file. :D No, it's not selectable from the UI. I just manually edited the conf file.

Re: Sony Bravia - Issues & Problems: 2.2.0 vs 2.4.2

SubJunk, Two quick questions about UMS-Serenus (2.5.0). I tired it as I thought it might be 2.5.0. :D The "Use tsmuxer" option is gone but it still seems to work that way. Is it now always "on" by default? The " Use LPCM only for HQ audio" section is gone from the UMS.c...
