[SOLVED] TsMuxeR and ffmpeg "this content cannot be played"

Post by pwnloiiopwn »

I recently reinstalled my Linux and opted for a Debian 7 32bit installation.
I decided to install UMS as I usually do, noticing a new version is available. So I go for it.
Put my usual settings which generally worked out for me, yet this time round somethings not working as it should.
MP4 stream without problem, its MKVs which are a bit problematic.

Tried checking whether the packaged files gave any errors and they gave me this:

Code: Select all

/.builds/ums-3.0.0$ ./ffmpeg
Segmentation fault
/.builds/ums-3.0.0$ ./tsMuxeR
SmartLabs tsMuxeR. Version 1.10.6 http://www.smlabs.net
Usage:
For start muxing: tsMuxeR <meta file name> <out file/dir name>
For detect stream params: tsMuxeR <media file name>
For more information about meta file see readme.txt
I tried downloading the 2.6.5 version but it also gives similar results, though I remember the components packaged didn't return any errors.
My fear is that some package may be missing from my OS installation.
Otherwise, hopefully, the debug.log might give some insight.

PS: I have another PC running Debian 6 64bit on the same network with v. 2.6.5 and it works flawlessly.

I hope I put all necessary info at your disposal.

dont wory about segment error. dont know why it gives that but it works ok.
Im new to the UMS on Linux but I was manage to setup it and it dose work fine (alots of problem with lack of memory etc)

0. im using ubintu 13 64bit, but should be similar for debian
1. install mplayer (apt-get install mplayer)
2. install mediainfo
3. If you dont want to use buildin ffmpeg just move it from build directory, and install your own (http://www.ffmpeg.org/download.html)

That would be for start.

Funny thing is that im not even using 1080p and few of my files are unplayable becouse of some messup frames in files, to bad its in java - and I dont have patient to try minidln + transcode patch.

I upgraded to the latest ums-3.1.0 version and everything works flawlessly now.
I don't recall doing anything in particular, just reinstalled mediainfo and the java packages.
Maybe some bugfix in the new version fixed my issue. Nonetheless solved.
If anyone else was having my same issue, try updating to 3.1.0 as well. ;)
