play videos in archives on PS3 with PMS running on Ubuntu

Post by martbhell »

Hi!

I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 x64 and UMS 3.1.0.
Player: PS3

I've never gotten videos to play that are located within a rar archive to work on Linux, but I've gotten it working fine on Windows.

Has anybody gotten it working? Anything special one needs to do to?

I can play a video that is within a .tar file, but not a rar. Thumbnails does not work for videos within the rar either.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Some errors from the beginning of trying to play a video in a rar file, perhaps related to the thumbnail error.
