HEVC decoding on Ubuntu with Nvidia GTX1050
Hi, there,
Environment: Ubuntu 16.04, UMS 8.0.0.RC1, Nvidia GTX 1050, and PS4.
First, I am not familiar with ffmpeg and all the GPU accel stuffs.
I am just trying to get the pieces together, so I can do hardware accel decoding of hevc videos in my UMS environment.
So, I follow the https://developer.nvidia.com/ffmpeg to create the cuda-enabled ffmpeg.
Can I just replace the UMS embbed ffmpeg/ffmpeg64 with the cuda-ffmpeg and enable the hard accel in UMS.conf?
Appreciated!!
