Itunes library loading

Post by jazzy1986 »

I am running UMS 4.3.0 on Ubuntu ARM. In the Navigation/Share tab "Show iTunes Library" option is disabled/grayed out. Why is that? I need to load my iTunes library for sharing.

I think I found the answer. iTunes library load option will be grayed out if no itunes installed. Since I am running UMS on linux therefore it's disabled. I guess I need to do my own build.

It might work if you manually fill the itunes_library_path setting and change show_itunes_library to true, in UMS.conf.
Let me know if that works and if not I'll look into it more

iTunes feeds are encrypted to lock you out from doing exactly what you are trying to do. Banshee will actually show "You are running iTunes greater than version 7" (which you probably are) as one of the possible reasons it is failing, and explains this.

There is no workaround that I know of if you wish to stream Apple protected files.
