Going from 4.3.1 to 5.0.0 headless

I installed 4.3.1 using this guide http://www.slsmk.com/how-to-install-uni ... less-mode/ and by looking through the comments section, recompiling ffmpeg UMS is now working fine with my PS3. I would like some support for my new Philips 32PFL4208 2014 and I can understand it is best to bring a debug from the new 5.0.0+ releases.
Can I assume that the basics from the slmsk article will also hold when using UMS 5.0.0+ in a headless mode? placement of ums.conf/web.conf in /etc, dependencies etc?
