bundled ffmpeg, mencoder etc
There is talk of these containing patches required by UMS.
Unfortunately, I am running an older glibc (2.13 vs. 2.15) on this server than the bundled binaries were built with, so they won't run (./ffmpeg: /lib/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.15' not found (required by ./ffmpeg).
My questions are therefore ...
1. Where is the source of the patched versions of these commands so I can try to rebuild them? I've looked on the googlecode site that seems to be the referenced location, but the Subversion checkout produces a revision 1 empty wc.
2. If I use the versions of these commands I already have installed, what will be the effect of not having SubJunk's patches?
Currently, I have:
FFmpeg SVN-r26183
MPlayer and MEncoder SVN-r31628-4.4.4
Thanks!
Mark.

Re: bundled ffmpeg, mencoder etc
You can you your own binaries to no severe or ill affect, you just need to state the explicit path to them in UMS.conf (though I noted mplayer in UMS 2.4.2 seems to be hard-coded to look in "./" and will not accept path statements).
