Sami32, here you are. I used an unencrypted disk with the 5th region (Russia). The picture is displayed normally, when everything in the encrypted disk is in the form of squares, and the last version (6.6.0) shows only the video_ts.vob file that can not be played ... Can you handle this situation? In my turn, I will try to put version 6.5.3, maybe it will help, I do not know...

Try first, as already asked, UMS 6.5.3, then report back and post a new log if you issue is still here.

As a side note, you installed MediaInfo v0.7.75, but the lastest version is 0.7.95.

Sami32, no, I checked - the result is the same. All components are installed completely and the mediainfo version is the last one. I even launched the Java 8 version of the server, because I have this version of the language installed. The result is the same. Maybe this is because I have a version of Mint 17.3 64 bit? It seems like not very old ... How should I be in this situation? Please help me deal with the problem.

Sami32, сan I send you log files a little later? Today is the weekend, and on Monday in America there will be a Memorial day. So, there will probably be a lot of cases... Please, do not close the topic, I will definitely note here again! ;)

Hello, Sami32!
It's asmol again. During the weekend, i've found some interesting things in log window of your server, version 6.5.3. It says: 13:33:58 INFO The file /media/asmol/MISS_PEREGRINES_HOME/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB could not be parsed. It will be hidden. And this happens with most encrypted files. What should I do in this situation? Log files I attached.

Hello Andrey,

It seem that you've forgotten to set the TRACE mode, so your log is not helpful. Please, try again.
Don't forget to try with MEncoder video engine as well before save the log.

After that, you should try the UMS 5.1.4 version and post an other TRACE log:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/unimed ... z/download

Since the beginning something look strange to me, you always use FFmpeg, and it shouldn't as MPlayer/MEncoder should be used instead; FFmpeg cannot handle CSS cryptage, it don't use libdvdcss(2).
As i'm not familiar with Linux at all, i'm very perplex on that.

Sami32, I continue to study your media server. It turns out that in order for the titles to appear, you must specify the path to the dvd of the disk, i.e. /media/username/, and not the full path to the files. Then the title of the entire movie is displayed, not just vob files. But anyway, it did not help... My DLNA media player gets stuck on initial buffering, although I set MPEncoder by default. The version of the media server, the one to which you gave me the link in the beginning (5.1.4). I attach the log files with the latest data (with mediaserver in trace mode).

The good new is that now it decode correctly your crypted DVD ;)
Does disabling subtitles make things better ?
Do that work fine with your Samsung renderer ?

But now, you need an video (@SubJunk) or Linux skilled (@Nadahar) ones:
Since AFAIK, no one reported about encrypted DVD issue, i suspect a Linux MEncoder/"environment" issue or less probably buggy/unusual DVD cryptage.
- What savor of Mint do you use ? LMDE ? Mate ?
- What is your video driver ? your graphic environment ?

OK, it seem a MPlayer/MEncoder issue on Linux, and that out of my scope of competence:

Not sure that -demuxer lavf could help ?
