Sleep problems on OS X

Post by coords »

Hi guys!

Congrats on your win! Your software is outstanding and you deserved it!!

I have been struggling with an issue on my 10.9.x Mac OSX machine running the latest versions off UMS. Even if I switch all my energy settings to off, the UMS server goes into sleep, and needs to be woken up, either by clicking on the mouse or logging in to the Mac. I have tried using keep awake tools, but none work. The setting in UMS to prevent sleep doesn't help. Any ideas what I could do next?

I'm trying to get my OS-X to sleep when it shouldn't. Trouble is my OS-X is a VM-Ware machine so i'm not sure if thats why it mightn't do it.
I'm trying to get to these, but works getting the best of me

Hi!

I have experienced same problem. My OS X 10.9.x entered sleep mode(maybe display off), and then after 1 minute(exactly with my external HDD entering sleep, connected by SATA Express card) UMS stopped.
I had turned off Appnap setting and checked 'prevent OS from sleeping when streaming' option.

Before upgrade OSX 10.9, this was not a issue.

Thanks

Ok i'll re-setup the 10.9 VMware machine and test on that. Maybe something changed between now and then. I'm going to be able to look into it more next week due to some work stuff

I'm having the same problem, whenever my screen goes to sleep I can't resume from pause or start new files in UMS, despite 'computer sleep' being set to three hours.
