OSX 10.9.2 Mavericks with java 8. Asian characters issue

Hi!

Recently, I have updated my java to Oracle java 8 and unversal media server 3.4.2 to 3.5(Java 7 compile version).
Then, Videos with Asian characters titles can not be streamed.
If I change the titles to English only ones, it is streamed correctly.

yes, i have test on Ps3 server and universal media server, my status is as same as you. It CANNOT display the unicode (utf-8 or utf-16) in srt format.

Anyone can correctly setting in using utf-8 unicode in asian characters? pls provide the setting to us.

As we haven't moved over to Java 8 as yet, it may remain untested. I only provided Java 8 versions of UMS for testing, but i will have a look into your issue and if i can provide something i will

Sorry. I thought that the issue was solved on 4.60 but it was java 6 compile version not java 8.
I have tested newly UMS 4.60 java 8 and the problem is there.
