To open “Universal Media Server” you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime.

What am I missing?

This is 2015 and Java is now Version 8_60.

There must be a method to not load a 5 year (or more) old version of Java.

UMS runs on any version of Java from 6-8, do you get an error or something?

how did you get it to work with Jave SE 6?
6 nor 8 work for me.
