Hey there,

When you try to ad a folder on the UMS 'Navigation/share' tab by clicking the folder icon on the bottom left from the screen , you will get a pop -up screen with on top in a scroll down menu your username from your mac.
When you scroll down to the Macintosh HD you will find in the larger window underneath completely at the bottom a line called 'Volumes'.
When you select this line by double clicking it , you will find all the external drives connected to your Mac.

I hope this helps you out.
