Issues with 4.0.0a1
Issues with 4.0.0a1
Sorry if this is the wrong section for this, but as it's an alpha....
I didn't know which debug log you wanted when I get 2 instances so I uploaded both....maybe they are the exact some one...but I'm not smart enough to know.
Bitter Blood has .srt subtitles and MOZU has .ass subtitles. I ran each three times. The first with all 3 FFmpeg options checked, second with remux with tsmuxer unchecked, then a third with fontconfig unchecked as well.
Bitter Blood:
1. No subtitles. Seems to be muxing as the video is AVC.
2. Yellow .srt subtitles.
3. White, slightly smaller .srt subtitles.
MOZU:
1. Same as above. AVC video.
2. Very large subtitles. Takes up much the screen.
3. Correct .ass subtitles.
I guess if it could render .ass subtitles correctly with fontconfig on, it would be my ideal situation as I get yellow .srt subtitles. I've seen the giant subtitle bug since FFmpeg started having the ability to render subtitles.

I'm missing this printout PID: <some pid> in your logs.
It should some like
Reading cred.path: default: "", current: "C:\ProgramData\UMS\UMS.cred"

DEBUG 2014-06-04 18:26:23.721 [main] Reading run_wizard: default: true, current: false

Re: Issues with 4.0.0a1
I don't know then. I ran UMS, set it to trace, ran a second instance of UMS, and sent you the log. I don't know how to have UMS start in trace. Tell me what I need to do (I'm an idiot so be detailed) and I'll give it a go.
Re: Issues with 4.0.0a1
Madoka could you please send the original .ass subtitles for MOZU Season 1 ep04 (848x480 x264) and converted subs C:/ProgramData/UMS/data/subs/MOZU Season 1 ep04 (848x480 x264).en_ID101_1401074157281.ass ?
Re: Issues with 4.0.0a1
Sure. I changed the extension to .txt as .ass was not allowed. Also, I have 2 sets of subs for that episode so I uploaded both originals. Let me know if you need anything else.
Also, one thing I notice FFmpeg does better than MEncoder. With .srt subtitles, MEncoder does not recognize codes like {\an8} and will display them as text like {\an8}Nation rather than putting Nation at the top of the screen. FFmpeg does it correctly. MEncoder will also ignore color codes in .srt files.
Running what SH wanted me to in a cmd windows produces:

Re: Issues with 4.0.0a1
Madok can you you cahnge to TRACE in your log4.xml file? This will enable TRACEing from start (and this is done as the first)..

Re: Issues with 4.0.0a1
I could only find a logback.xml file and changed it to trace there. I hope I did that right.

This is the reason why you don't get single instance to work
I should probably make that INFO or something so it's seen.
Code: Select all
UMS must be run as administrator in order to access the PID file
